Ms. June Ambrose is simply amazing and outstanding! Her style is one of kind and she is the epitome of a fashionista. She is listed as number 23 out of the 25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood.
If you haven’t heard of June, she’s outfitted the likes of Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, Ciara, Mariah Carey, Ne-Yo, and Jay-Z, just to name a few. She worked closely with video director Hype Williams during his “Gimme Some Mo” days and was the stylistic brains behind a ton of epic hip-hop videos past and present including “Big Pimpin”, “All in my Grill”, “We Belong Together”, and ”Sexy Love”. She even styled “Mo Money, Mo Problems” (Remember those shiny suits???)
June knew from a young age she had a passion for fashion. As a marketing major, June’s first job out of college was at an investment bank. Finding that crunching numbers wasn’t her calling, she threw caution to the wind and interned for a short period at Uptown/MCA in their marketing department. Her drive got her noticed by Jive Records, who hired her as a stylist for groups such as Hi-Five, The Backstreet Boys, and R. Kelly.

After her stint at Jive, she worked as marketing director for the 90′s uber-brand, Cross Colours. As a marketing director, she placed Cross Colour clothes on the hottest acts of the moment, including TLC and Kriss Kross. She managed to make enough artist connections to become a freelance stylist.
June has compiled all her best style tips and fashion advice into her book, Effortless Style. In it, she discusses everything from the importance of fit and wearing the correct undergarments to buying the right accessories to achieve a celeb glam look. According to her: “Effortless Style talks about capturing fashion and interpreting it into your own look…using the right tools to translate celebrity and runway looks into the style of an average person.”

Beyonce has done it all again with newest video “Who Run The World (Girls)” music video which is now the new anthem for girls. The track is the same track from Major Lazors “Pon De Floor” song. The Francis Lawrence directed video officially debuted yesterday on American Idol and was filled with high fashion from head to toe from McQueen to Givenchy to Pucci and much more!
B has definitely mixed up the styles in this video and it was simply amazing and the lions and jackals she had are amazing!
The frame below shows Beyonce with a group of ladies behind her and full grown lion. Beyonce stands her ground in an Alexander McQueen Fall 2010 red silk-satin dress with gold embroidered detailing with an added pair of McQueens’ gold-heeled thigh-high boots.
The next scene at the beginning is Ms. “Single Ladies” paired in Norma Kamali fringed shorts with a dark bustier and gold harness. She wore a matching coat and fringed Alexander Wang heels which she got down in with her hot footwork and movements.
B also had a seen where she was decked out in gold. That dress she wore is a Gareth Pugh Fall 2011 turtleneck dress with metallic scales with a pair of matching Gareth Pugh shoes.
B makes yellow look fabulous as the 29-year-old decided on a bright yellow Emilio Pucci gown that had strategic cut outs and daring slits for one of her dance scenes. She added a pair of black Sergio Rossi “Talisman” gladiator boots with studs and plumes.
The queen B; who will be honored with the Millennium Award at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards; sported an intricate Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2011 Couture gown with bold shoulders and awesome cut outs.
One of my favorite outfits is when B was in scene with two leashed Jackals and sporting a stunning Givenchy Couture Spring 2011 gown. Her bouffant updo and the tulle frock that featured quilted and appliqued motifs was just fabulous.
She even sported a lovely green dress — still curious as to where its from though BUT I must say, this is definitely a come back for Beyonce and I’m looking forward to seeing more videos like this in the sense of location and outfits.
What’d you all think about the video?
